Introducing our first but definitely not our last silk scarf. In honor of my Venezuelan heritage I wanted to create a piece that represents the country I love. The Little Diablo Scarf features an illustration of a Diablo Danzantes del Yare. The Dancing Devils of Yare is a religious festival celebrated on the day of the Feast of Corpus Christi, in San Francisco de Yare, Miranda state. The Dancing devils of Yare are, without a doubt, a source of pride from Miranda for all of Venezuela. Their origin comes from the times of the Spanish colonization and their true beginning is the subject of dozens of theories. The festival is the culmination of Spanish colonial influence (primarily Christianity) on the country's indigenous people. The festival has been passed on through generations, and goes back almost 400 years. So, it’s easy to see what a special piece this is, and it adds a fun coconut girl aesthetic to your wardrobe.

If you ordered an item that you need within 7 days, you can speed up your processing time by selecting our expedited processing fee at checkout, which cost $75.00 for domestic orders and $100.00 for international orders. Shipping is included in the both expedited fees.
Serendipitous Project pieces are handmade with love. Our items are built to last, however we do work with some fragile materials*. We ask that you handle our pieces with care. Please avoid excessive dropping, improperly transporting or storing your pieces. (* especially our items made with porcelain and seashells)-We also suggest storing your item in a cool, dry, place to reduce the likelihood of tarnishing. We suggest a dust bag, or the box included in your order! -Avoid exposing your jewelry to excessive humidity or sunlight.
To clean you Serendipitous Project piece we suggest purchasing some jewelry cleaner. However, there is also a low cost hack. You can clean your items with toothpaste! Either use a toothbrush or use your hands but evenly coat your item with toothpaste and let it sit for a second. Then rinse your item immediately with cool water. Make sure to immediately and throughly dry your piece to prevent tarnishing.

We will complimentary repair your Serendipitous Project item for up to 1 year. If you have had you item for over a year and need a repair we will charge a modest fee which will be assessed case by case.
